i am not trying to be racists by ANY means. I've noticed that most black women look really young for our age. but women/men of other races (especially white and asian) age pretty quickly. I meet white girls that are only 16 or 17 and they’re looking like 10 years older than they truly are. Why is this? I know there is a scientific reason regarding melanin or something like that. Thanks.

Yeah, I think its the skin color. Black people have higher percentage of melanin, thus it is more resistant to the sun radiation. You have to realize, the sun does bad things to your skin, like skin cancer and the appearance of aging. That is why white people have wrinkles earlier. You also have to note that white people like to sun bathe and sun tan, which isn't really good for the skin. It might look good with the golden skin, but in the long run, you wears out your skin. To sum it up, the sun dries and ages your skin's youthfulness.

heey, yehh i've heard of that before. black women have more melanin. also they already have the dark skin so they don't have to sun bake, or get tanned. the sun affects our skin quite a lot in the long run, which is why white women generally look older. i don't think asians age very fast, i have asian friends and their parents look very young for their age. i'm so jealous =)

I think white people just age faster.

Most asian people don't age swiftly and are known for their nice skin.

Maybe white people get wrinkles faster cause they're always fake tanning whereas black people don't have to and most asian people don't.

I agree if you look at a person with dark skin they’ve fewer wrinkles and the sun theory makes sense,but dark people can get skin cancer from the sun just like us caucasians

I've met plenty of black women with wrinkles. They age superior because darker skin shows wear less and melanin prevents sunburning, which can lead to wrinkles.
