This is my normal regimen. sanitize with proactive, toner, oil control and then medicated moisturizer. Then I put salicylic acid on my zits and my nose. After about a half hour i moisturize under my eyes and around my mouth where i have laugh lines and on my cheeks where i have enlarged pores. This isn't working. I need serious help. Any suggestions? I hate combination skin grrrrr.

I had a lot of acne and I still have some but it's gotten a lot superior. You could go to a dermatologist and they’ve acutane and it works really well! You use it for five months and during it you can see that your skin starts to get a lot superior and it's doing that for mine right now getting better that is! Good luck and I hope that I helped! ~I LOVE Derek

you're using A LOT of different chemicals in one day. i use a generic, orange soap that works great with my skin. also, i use the neutrogena wave a couple times a week and it makes my skin very soft. i think that you should cut down on some of the moisturizers, acids, and soaps. it's too much for your skin. just find a soap that can control your acne and oil and then moisturize only if your skin is dry and flaky or if it's peeling.

hope i helped!

well i read some where that if you use cocconut oil then it helps with ance. and if you use a home made mud mask.. by using dirt from your back yard and water. let it dry for about 20 min and then rinse off. that should help.. and also use some face oils on you face.. =>

Honestly, I could sit here and go through everything I know about skincare and my own skincare regimin that works, but everyone is different and the same thing that works for me might not work for you. If you’ve this many problems with your skin you should def. see a dermatologist. They have the ability to suggest a more simplified regimin for all your problems . My derm put me on retinol treatments which has done wonders for my acne. (And I think retinol is also good for wrinkles too so there's a bonus although I;m only 25 so I don't deal with that yet).

Your regimen is too complicated, too much. It's probably making your skin worse. Proactive didn't work for me at all. I cleanse with a basic cleanser that gets rid of my makeup (i use avene cleanance, found in shoppers drug mart, but the higher end section), oil of olay toner with witch Hazel, cetaphyl oil free moisturizer (only when needed), and retinol cream at night. I also use a separate eye cream to prevent wrinkles. In the morning make sure to use a cream with sunscreen in it, cetaphyl has a good one.

Answer:
well for your enlarged pores and wrinkles you could try using Korres Face Primer
“Korres Silicone-Free Face Primer is an antioxidant-rich formula with skin-soothing plant extracts that create flawless skin—sans the silicone. Rich in skin-soothing botanicals and Vitamin E, this 99-percent-natural formula refines skin texture, minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and reduces pore size. Hi There! I have heard such horror stories about proactive. I recommend you stop using that, unless you really think it is helping any.

I figured out that when you use all of those products listed in your regimen, it actually makes your skin worse.

Also, I've figured out that putting salicylic acid on, and then moisturizing within 5 hours actually clogged my pores even more.

Depending on your age, there are different things you can try with the products you already have. If you're under 40, and you think you’ve wrinkles or laugh lines, just forget about it. I'm sure you're fine!
If you’re over 40, you could moisturize morning and night, but just using a small amount of moisturizer. A tiny bit goes a long way, whether your face feels it or not.

Use lots of water when you wash your face. Rinse thoroughly after using each product, and make sure to pat your face dry with a towel, don't wipe it (this creates more wrinkles in the long run).

So I recommend for your regimen- in the morning, wash your face with just a regular facial scrub (I've used Biore brand for years, it smells good and works fantastically.) Use warm water to open your pores, so the scrub can clean them superior.
Then use a small amount of an exfoliator (again, I recommend the Biore brand), to bring out the glow in your face. But don't scrub too hard with the exfoliator around zits, because it could injured, or leave them a bit red.
Then use cold water to rinse your face, and pat dry with a towel.
Use a small amount of moisturizer, and you're good to go.

Then at night, use the scrub again, and an anti-blackhead scrub. (Biore again…the blackhead scrub warms as you use it, it feels so cool!)
And again, rinse with cold water to close pores back up.
You can either use salicylic acid OR lotion (make sure to wash the salicylic acid off in the morning with the scrub).

During the day if your skin feels oily, or if you feel a zit under the skin, I keep Oxy cleansing pads in my desk at work to just wipe it away.

I hope that wasn't too confusing, and that this works for you!
