Hey, I drink lots of water and sleep 7 to 9 hours each night, and my eyes are starting to look old
My dark circles are hereditary, and the lines could be too, but my parents were MUCH older than 27 when they kicked in. I’ve wasted a lot of money on concealers (which just settle in and make lines worse) and creams that I thought would work. I don't want to spend much money, but at this point, I don't want it to get worse, I would rather spend more. What can I use to combat this issue AFTER it has already started?? Thanks soooooo much!
Answer: Hm, sounds like you're doing everything right… EXCEPT… could it be that your iron levels are low? Do you eat a lot of fish and chicken? Those are both very high in iron… especially fish… try eating sushi if you can stomach it. Or take Omega fish oil pills… those could help; or you could try taking iron supplements. Most women don't realize that iron deficiencies can make you look much older than you are. I eat plenty of iron and I'm 23 but I look 17… so I am telling you from my own personal experience. But hun, I'm sure you look fine! We are our own worst critics, don't worry, it's not hopeless by any means, you just need to figure out what it is that is giving you dark lines under ur eyes. I hope it works out for you.
Answer: My sister told me when applying moisturizer to your face, apply it rubbing upwards instead of downwards because when you pull in a downwards direction it causes wrinkles. Also, if you don't (I'm sure you do) use SPF, I'd suggest that you do.
I'm not one hundred percent sure that my advice will cure it but, it might help a little.
(:
Answer: I’m interested also. I am 29 and have these wrinkles. I asked my eye doctor why I had them, and he said it is because I squint a lot. I asked him what I could do to get rid of them, and he said Botox (lol). I haven't went to those extremes yet, but like you, I want to get rid of them or at least conceal them. He did tell me to try and rest my eyes some (I didn't realize how much I actually squint until he made me aware of it).
Answer: Save your money and do this wonderful, non-abrasive light treatment called IPL. It makes your skin feel taught and removes premature signs of aging. This isn’t plastic surgery, it is simply a light laser treatment that feels like a light sunburn for a day. You’ll feel like you are glowing. I use this method to remove sun spots on my left cheek.
The person below me states iron, but I have been anemic (iron deficiency) my whole life and I do not have these type of wrinkles, It simply is genetics.
“Hm, sounds like you're doing everything right… EXCEPT… could it be that your iron levels are low'
Answer: The dark circles can be lessoned with an increase in iron, potassium and vitamin K.
Possible causes for the wrinkles could be excess sun exposure (use 45 sunblock), not properly cleaning your face at night, excess rubbing or genes.
Good Luck!
Answer: Eat healthy along with what you’re doing. Lots of fruits and vegies. Of course that won't just make them disappear right away but in the end you will feel much better and make it less noticeable.
In the mean time go to a dermatologist.
